Each poppy is a unique work in color. Some are hooked with a plaid wool; others are hooked using mottled fabric. In some cases, I used very short strands of wool and hooked about 4 loops, switched to another color, hooked 6 loops, went to another color, and so on--creating a varied look in one flower. It was all hooked in 8-cuts and the background is a combination of deep black, antique black, dark bottle green and navy. This pattern is hand-drawn on unbleached primitive linen. The kit includes the pattern, a glossy photograph, and all the wool. I've assembled 50 different wools--mostly hand-dyed with some off the bolt special wools. Because of the complexity of the colors, these wools are not labeled for position but left up to you to color as you wish. KIT AND PATTERN: $180 + postage
